Heavy downpour witnessed in Anantapur, several areas submerged under flood water

Anantapur district witnessed heavy downpour of rainfall from midnight resulting in several low-lying areas getting submerged under the flood water.

Many government offices have been drenched in water and the power supply too has been affected. Also, due to a technical problem in the traffic signalling system in Gooty, the train services got delayed.

According to reports, five houses collapsed due to the heavy rains and waterlogging is seen on many roads. Various areas including the RTC bus station, bus depot and Gurukula residential high school in Anantapur are submerged under the flood water.
