Andhra Pradesh is all set to have another feather in its cap regarding energy efficiency and conservation as the court buildings in the State will be retrofitted with energy efficient appliances without any upfront investment as the cost initially would be borne by Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) of Government of India. 

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh is all set to have another feather in its cap regarding energy efficiency and conservation as the court buildings in the State will be retrofitted with energy efficient appliances without any upfront investment as the cost initially would be borne by Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) of Government of India.

The project results in estimated annual monetary savings of Rs 2.27 crore and energy savings of 2.5 million units in all the courts in 13 districts of the State. The State is about to make another leap in its energy efficiency front as High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad entered into an agreement with EESL at the office of Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission on Friday.

In the presence of APERC Chairman Justice G Bhavani Prasad, on behalf of High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the State of Telangana and for the State of Andhra Pradesh, the Registrar General of HC, Ch Manavendranath Roy, and Registrar (administration), Dr.P Nagarjun, signed on the agreement.

From the side of EESL, its MD Saurabh Kumar signed on the agreement. Member of APERC P Ramamohan and CEO and MD APSEEDCO A Chandra Sekhara Reddy were present during the signing of the agreement.
