Piduguralla:People of Piduguralla are consuming donkey milk assuming that it will keep ailments at bay. Ten nomads from Nanded of Maharashtra recently started selling don key milk saying that it cures asthma, cough, bronchitis and gas problem.
The people making a beeline to buy donkey milk which is being sold at Rs 50. Locals said that each family is earning around Rs 2,000 by selling milk. Nomads are advising the people to buy and drink the donkey’s milk as it prevents diseases and children will grow stronger if parents make a habit of giving them daily. D Vengala Reddy, s chest physician, pointed out that donkey milk is like any other milk and it neither cures any illness nor gives any miraculous strength. He added that if you drink the milk without boiling there are chances of getting infections. Despite doctors’ warning, people of Piduguralla are buying the milk.
