Kadapa: CPI national secretary K Narayana found fault with the foreign policies being adopted by the BJP-led NDA government.

Narayana was addressing the district-level convention of the CPI here on Saturday. He said the foreign tours of Modi did not yield fruitful results. He alleged that Modi was only protecting the interests of corporate companies. Narayana recalled that the UPA government led by the Congress stopped implementing the Nuclear deal following the pressure exerted by the Left parties. But Modi was acting against the interests of the nation by going ahead with such deals.

Describing Narendra Modi as an American agent, he said the Prime Minister had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for manufacturing Nuclear reactors worth crores of rupees.

He said the tours made by Prime Minister to Australia and Israel were not beneficial to the nation but intended to strengthen Adani company. He said that Australia entered into an MoU with Adani company for Rs 5,000 crore wroth coal mining owing to pressure from the Prime Minister.

Earlier, other speakers at the convention criticised Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for wasting public money in the name of river connectivity, Jalaharathi, Yeruvaka and Neeru-Chettu programmes. They said that delay in execution of Polavaram Project resulted in the project cost going up from Rs 16,000 crore to Rs 52,000 crore.

CPI district secretary G Eswaraiah, CPI State council member G Obulesu, town secretary Venkatasiva and others were present.
