Opposition leader and YSR Congress party Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy penned an open letter to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday where he pointed out that the affairs in Andhra Pradesh have worsened with the increase in farmers and students' suicides.

In a three-page letter, YS Jagan said that Chandrababu had completely scrapped zero-interest loans adding that when the latter came to governance, the crop loan was of Rs Rs 87,000 crore but now the interests have shot up to Rs 56,000 crore as he didn't waive off the loans resulting in farmers taking their lives.

Despite the reports from the agricultural department estimating a huge crop loss, he said that the TDP government failed to act.

Stating that AP is in crisis mode with the heavy rains which have caused damage to several crops, the YSRCP President said that the government is yet to make a move to resolve the problem.

He even went on to accuse the Chief Minister of directing the Banks to refrain from giving agricultural loans to the farmers.
