Meet on GST held

Guntur: Pramod Kumar Tiwari, joint secretary, consumer affairs department interacted with the local merchants here on Monday.

He enquired about the problems being faced with introduction of GST and received suggestions. He said the government has introduced the one tax policy with an aim to help traders and public.

Tiwari said initial hiccups were common when any new economic reforms introduced and added the merchants suggestions would be incorporated in the report and would be submitted to government.

District collector Kona Sasidhar, Central excise commissioner M Sriharirao and commercial taxes joint commissioner P Rajababu participated in the meeting.
