Hyderabad: Potential leaders coming from different social groups and professions have learnt important tips at the 58th batch of Vaktha. The two-day training programme, organised by Hmtv in coordination with Kaushalya School of Life Skills, on October 14 and 15, has reinforced the confidence levels of many a participant from both the Telugu States.

The Director (Training), Kapil Group and the lead faculty of the programme, D Bal Reddy, said the public speaking was a skill, which can only be honed by regular practice. He gave important tips and techniques relating to public speaking. S Anand Parjanya, faculty on body language, trained the participants on maintaining their posture while delivering a speech and communicating at a public place.

He explained to the participants as to how the orator should communicate the subject with the coordinating actions of hands. K Srikanth, another faculty, expounded on important techniques of voice modulation since a good speaker maintains a high tone while delivering the speech. He made students practise some of the important tips and showed how voice culture and modulation can make a person an effective public speaker.

While providing their feedback, the participants expressed satisfaction at the way training was conducted and termed this training as a lifetime experience. With a burning desire to turn as good orators, they expressed eagerness to speak in front of thousands of audience.

Ramchander Rao from Medak district, who found a marked change in himself, explained that before attending the training classes, fear of public speaking overwhelmed him with clear signs of anxiety like shaking and sweating while being on stage. However, the two-day training classes has enhanced his confidence levels and helped in eliminating stage fear completely.

M Umamaheshwara Reddy from Guntur felt that the training added value to his life as it had not only improved his skills but also provided an opportunity to learn as to how one could become a good human being. R Ramesh from Nizamabad, who found important tips on voice modulation, believed that the training would completely bring in a good change within him.
