Visakhapatnam: The chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will arrive here at 4 pm on Tuesday and lay foundation stone for Rs 113 crore flyover at NAD Junction. He will also lay foundation stone for TU 142 aircraft museum, open VIP lounge at the airport and participate in Diwali programme at RK Beach along with the challenged children.

The government entrusted the flyover work to the city-based Vijay Nirman Company giving a directive to complete the project in two years. The rotary mode separator flyover is one of its kind in the country. This will put an end to the traffic chaos at the NAD Junction in the city.

Similarly, the TU 142 aircraft museum is also one of its kind in the country. The aircraft after decommissioning was handed over to the State government in the presence of Chief Minister at INS Dega on April 8 this year. The aircraft was dismantled and brought to beach by road. Located close to INS Kurusura submarine Museum, this is likely to draw 3,000 visitors in a day.

Later he will inaugurate the VIP lounge in the Airport premises. The State government provided 1,000 square yards and it was built at a cost of Rs 50 lakh. The lounge is built in 4,200 square feet. The centrally air-conditioned lounge can accommodate 300 people. Other than meeting hall, the lounge will have chief minister’s chamber, ante room, pantry and toilets.

Before flying back, the Chief Minister will participate in Diwali programme at RK Beach along with the challenged children. The government declared Diwali as a state festival. Naidu will launch the celebrations at 6.15 pm and around 2,000 challenged children are expected to participate.

The programme will be held for two days. The government allocated 50 stalls to the local star hotels and shopping malls at the venue which were asked to sell food items slashing percentage on the price.
