Joint Collector chides officers for long-pending grievances
Joint Collector G Srijana chided several departmental officials for dragging their feet over responding to public grievances in time. Taking stock of the issues at the grievance cell meeting at the Collectorate on Monday, the Joint Collector found fault with officers’ slow pace while resolving the complaints coming through Prajavani and Meekosam.
Visakhapatnam: Joint Collector G Srijana chided several departmental officials for dragging their feet over responding to public grievances in time. Taking stock of the issues at the grievance cell meeting at the Collectorate on Monday, the Joint Collector found fault with officers’ slow pace while resolving the complaints coming through Prajavani and Meekosam.
Making it clear to department officials that delay in resolving grievances would not be tolerated, the Joint Collector directed them to sort out the lodged complaints in the same week itself.
As some officials were frequently skipping Monday grievance meeting at the Collectorate, the Joint Collector warned those who have been missing the meet would face consequences for their irresponsible actions. She told all the department higher-ups not to give a miss for the meeting.
