Rich tributes paid to Abdul Kalam
The 86th birth anniversary of former President of India and Bharat Ratna Dr APJ Abdul Kalam was celebrated in a befitting manner at Naval Science and Technological Laboratory (NSTL) on Monday. Outstanding Scientist and Director NSTL Dr OR Nandagopan offered floral tributes to Dr Kalam.
Visakhapatnam: The 86th birth anniversary of former President of India and Bharat Ratna Dr APJ Abdul Kalam was celebrated in a befitting manner at Naval Science and Technological Laboratory (NSTL) on Monday. Outstanding Scientist and Director NSTL Dr OR Nandagopan offered floral tributes to Dr Kalam.
Speaking on the occasion, Nandagopan recalled the exemplary contributions of Abdul Kalam both as a scientist of international repute and as the 11th President of India. He expressed hope that all young scientists would take him as a role model and follow his path to give their best in service of the nation.
Scientists, officers, staff of NSTL and representatives from other DRDO laboratories including Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL), Kochi and Defence Electronics Applications Laboratory (DEAL), Dehradun were present.
