TTD to promote AEEs with fake varsity certificates?
The TTD higher officials reportedly trying to give promotion to 54 Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) as Deputy Executive Engineers (DEEs) by considering certificates issued by an unrecognised university based in Rajasthan.

It is learnt that 54 AEEs working in the TTD Engineering department had obtained engineering diploma certificates from Institute of Advanced Studies, Rajasthan in 2005. But, this institute is not in UGC recognised list as per the TTD promotion rules.
The TTD officials rejected the promotion to those AEEs, who have submitted certificates issued by Rajasthan’s institute. The issue became a major controversary at that time and the TTD also brought to the notice of the court. Fourteen days ago, the TTD higher officials took a decision to give promotion to AEEs by accepting certificates issued by Rajasthan-based institute.
TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal had rejected the AEEs promotion file on August 12, 2017. However, the EO changed his decision with the interference of a senior official and gave nod for AEEs promotion on August 26, 2017. One senior AEE speaking to The Hans India said employees will produce fake engineering college certificates in future if the TTD accepts certificates of unrecognised universities.
Till now,the TTD officials are considering only the UGC recognised certificates. It may be noted here that there are no such engineering courses in distance mode. He stated that several representations were submitted to the higher officials to stop considering certificates submitted by AEEs. A higher official is very much interested and changed the EO opinion on this file, he alleged.
