Now, the government is adopting a new delay technique by introducing Special Grievances Day (Parishkara Vedika) on the related issues.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday along with Tirupati MP Dr Varaprasada Rao and YSRCP floor leader in Nellore Municipal Corporation Roopkumar Yadav, Kakani said the government had waived off only Rs 550 crore crop loan from the total of Rs 1,012 crore in the district benefitting 2.82 lakh farmers.

The MLA said the state government had issued bonds as part of second phase and still farmers were facing troubles. The government started farm loan waiver in the third phase, he stated and said that 89,473 farmers, who are having loan below Rs 50,000, are yet to receive amounts.

Remaining 1.92 lakh farmers were being bluffed that their loans would be waived through the Parishkara Vedika, the MLA criticised. The farmers are staging protests for support price and still the state government has not yet responded, he said.
