Srikakulam: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) was like a sinking ship and leaders of the party were feeling extremely insecure about their future, said TDP State Human Resource Department (HRD) wing and party training camp director Kalisetti Appala Naidu.

Interacting with media persons here on Tuesday, he said the YSRCP has no development agenda and it has been creating hurdles for the progress since its inception. In this backdrop, leaders of the party were frustrated and waiting to join the TDP, Kalisetti said.

Commenting on political defections, he came down heavily on the YSRCP and recalled the defections of TDP leaders like Manda Jagannadham and Adikesavula Naidu to the Congress which were encouraged by the late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy to weaken the Opposition.

He invited constructive criticism from the YSRCP as a main opposition but said it failed miserably in discharging its responsibility. He said that people were happy with TDP rule.
