He said when Padmalatha lodged a complaint with the police against Dasari Ravibabu for sexually exploiting her, the police higher ups should have taken immediate action.

As per reports, Gedela Raju allegedly killed Padmalatha at the behest of the police officer and later blackmailed him.“The criminal negligence of the police bosses led to two deaths in the city. The police now should investigate the death of Padmalatha and the role of the police officer,’’ the MLA demanded.

Revive TDP leader murder case The MLA also demanded that revival of TDP leader’s murder case. He said TDP leader P Appala Naidu was killed on July 12, 2014 and the main accused in this case was TDP vice-president Pyla Mutyala Naidu.

Mutyala Naidu was named in the FIR lodged at Fourth Town, along with the hired killers Siri Srinu, Mylapalle Sagar and Kranthi. A supari of Rs 5 lakh was given to these three killers.

But in the charge-sheet, Mutyala Naidu name has been removed and had the names of the killers. “I suggest the Police Commissioner, who did a splendid job in the Gedela Raju, should revive the case,’’ the MLA said.
