APOA moots Asia Beach Games at Vizag
The Andhra Pradesh Olympic Association (APOA) has proposed to conduct Asian Beach Games, a mega international event,on behalf of International Olympic Association (IOA) in October, 2018, said Guntur MP and APOA president GallaJaydev.

He was addressing a media conference after the special general body meeting of APOA here on Sunday.
Maharashtra and Kerala states are other contenders to host the Asian Beach Games, but he said he was optimistic that International Olympic Association (IOA) would award the games to Visakhapatnam.
The IOA final decision will be this December. The Guntur
MP added that their association had requested the state government to allot 100 acres land for the all-round development of sports,games and other activities in Andhra Pradesh and was awaiting the response.
Answering a question on questioning of authenticity of AOA led by him by rival body led by J C Pavan Reddy, Jayadev said everyone was entitled to go to court and that they had faith in Indian judicial system.
APOA general secretary Purushottam Naidu and secretary Punnayya were also present at the press conference.
