Tirupati: In connection with the auspicious festival of Nagula Chavithi on October 23, the processional deity of Malayappa Swamy flanked by His two consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi, will take a celestial ride on the seven-hooded Pedda Sesha Vahanam. It will be a visual treat to watch the Lord and his consorts on the mighty serpent king. Pedda Sesha Vahanam is revered to be Adisesha.

According to Hindu mythology, Adisesha, is a 1000-hooded mighty snake who serves his master in various forms as His divine bed, umbrella, ornaments, seat etc. and showcases his loyalty towards his master. On Monday evening, the Lord will ride on Pedda Sesha Vahanam in four Mada streets between 7 am and 9 am and bless the devotees.
