Youth jumps into water falls
Repeating a feat from the block buster movie Bahubali, a 20-year-old youth, in an inebriated condition, jumped from a height into a pool near the waterfalls at Kolanu Bharati temple, aka Goddess Saraswati temple, in the Atmakuru Forest division, and died of multiple fractures which he suffered due to the fall.
Atmakuru: Repeating a feat from the block buster movie Bahubali, a 20-year-old youth, in an inebriated condition, jumped from a height into a pool near the waterfalls at Kolanu Bharati temple, aka Goddess Saraswati temple, in the Atmakuru Forest division, and died of multiple fractures which he suffered due to the fall.
He was identified as Ismail. He along with 15 friends was reported to have consumed liquor; danced in a celebration mood; jumped from a height and got killed.
In this connection it may be noted that two days ago, two huge rocks broke loose due to recent heavy rains, rolled down the hill and fell into the pool.
Anti-social elements are creating nuisance near the temple and are also found to be indulging in religious skirmishes. Devotees complain of harassment by these elements, who are accused of teasing women visiting the temple.
