Srisailam Project: YSRCP leader Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy has assured support to the YSRCP cadres and boosted their morale. He along with fellow party leader and his brother Shilpa Mohan Reddy warned the ruling party against harassing party workers. They vowed to bring the State government to its knees by staging protests if it crossed its limits in harassing the YSR Congress party workers.

Addressing party workers after three months of Nandyal by-poll at Reddy Kalyana Mantapam here on Monday, they apologised to the party workers for meeting them after a long time since there was delay in securing bail in the false cases foisted against him and his brother by the State government out of political vendetta.

Chakrapani Reddy said that he had met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu long back and proposed construction of residential quarters for workers of Srisailam Devasthanam in G+3 structures with a lift facility at Sundipenta on the lines of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. He also obtained permission for the same.

But the government did away with the proposals and asking employees to build homes with Rs 1.50 lakh under the NTR Housing scheme.
He said that the cost of the material would be very high since Srisailam was located on a hill. It was atrocious, he added.

He assured the temple staff that he would allot three cents of land to each employee of Srisailam Devasthanam upon getting elected to the State Legislative Assembly in the 2019 general elections. He also promised them to build quarters in G+3 structures. YSRCP leaders Gundayya, Vatti Venkata Reddy, Vishnu and Razaq were present on the occasion.
