Nitin Gadkari urges AP Govt to sort out differences with Polavaram Project contractors

Union water resources minister Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday clarified that it is better to continue with Transstroy company for the construction of the Polavaram project instead of exploring other alternative options.

He suggested the Andhra Pradesh government sort out the differences with the concerned contractors amicable adding that the state government would have to bear the expenses if they fail to do so.

The Union Minister responded to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s request of the termination of the Polavaram dam contractor Transstroy (India) Limited contract and seeking fresh tenders for the Polavaram project.
