Tirumala: As part of providing enhanced amenities to pilgrims, various new sheds, halls and mini KKC were opened on Thursday in Tirumala.

TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal along with JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju, CVSO A Ravikrishna took part in the puja programme of mini KKC in Nandakam rest house which was constructed at a cost of Rs 51 lakh followed by token issue counters for senior citizens and differently able pilgrims opposite SV Museum at a cost of Rs 20 lakh, extension of waiting hall for senior citizens and differently able persons at Rs 53.50 lakh and Sarva Darshan waiting hall near VQC II.

Speaking on the occasion, the EO told media persons following the feedback from pilgrims, the additional amenities have been created to different categories of pilgrims for their convenience.

"Earlier we used to get the feedback from the pilgrims in VQC 2 to provide additional laddu token counters in compartments. We have now set up 16 laddu token issuing counters in the Sarva Darshan Hall for the convenience of pilgrims. We are contemplating to provide slot wise darshan for Sarva Darshan pilgrims also by December", he added.
