Vijayawada: The A P High Court stayed implementation of G.O.No: 465 to impart training to the RMPs, PMPs, as community paramedics will have repercussions in many aspects. Responding to the petition filed by the Indian Medical Association State secretary Kolli Sree Karuna Murthy, the High Court stayed the G.O and directed the government to file counter petition.

The court felt that the G.O. is as bad in the law, illegal, ultra vires, void and unconstitutional.The government decided to conduct one year crash course to the 30,000 RMPs, PMPS in the State in the area hospitals and clinics. After completion of the course, the government decided to conduct examination and qualified candidates will get certificates.

The minister for Medical and Health Kamineni Srinivas announced that he would hold a meeting with the RMPs, PMPS in the presence of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu soon and announce the decision of the government. Meanwhile, doctors have filed a petition in the Human Rights Commission against the G.O.no: 465.

IMA state president R Jayashankar said that Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare J P Nadda has already written a letter to the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and opposed the decision to conduct crash courses to them.

R Jayashankar questioned how a PMP or RMP is equal to MBBS doctor after completing one year crash course. ``Those who do not possess any qualification are starting practice with the RMP or PMP board. They cannot give proper treatment to the patients.
