Inquiry ordered in baby’s death in Rajamahendravaram
It is alleged that G Sridevi was supposed to be operated on Wednesday but the negligence of doctors and other staff resulted in the case sheet of the patient misplaced.
Following the reports that the negligence of gynaecologist Vishnuvardhini has resulted in the death of a unborn baby in Rajamahendravaram, the authorities at Government General Hospital clarified that an inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
It is alleged that G Sridevi was supposed to be operated on Wednesday but the negligence of doctors and other staff resulted in the case sheet of the patient misplaced.
Suspecting the movements of the unborn child getting stopped on Thursday morning, Sridevi and her family requested the gynaecologist Vishnuvardhini to perform the delivery.
However, on refusing to do so. Sridevi’s condition deteriorated and the child died in the womb. The doctor who later operated delivered the still born child.
Sridevi’s family blamed the doctor’s negligence for the child’s death.
