Amaravati: Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu alleged that Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy was trying to escape from constitutional systems as his wrongdoings and corruption was haunting him. The minister also said Jagan had decided to boycott the Assembly and undertake padayatra to escape from attending court and Assembly as he was not in a position to answer people or the court.

In a release here on Friday, Ramakrishnudu said Jagan takes politics like a game and he was not serious on people’s issue. “TDP was founded for the cause of people but the Jaganmohan Reddy launched the party for the sole reason of obtaining political power,” he said.

Ramakrishnudu said that Jagan was fearing to face the ruling party in Assembly due to his acerbic comments against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu during Nandyal byelections. “Jagan is playing dramas in the guise of boycotting the Assembly as he is ashamed of his abusive comments such as ‘shooting’ and ‘hanging’ the Chief Minister,” he alleged.

The minister said the opposition party had failed utterly in the last three years and a corrupt person was leading it. “Jagan has no confidence in democracy. He does not honour his constituency, courts, Assembly and other systems. He is afraid of attending Assembly and courts as he had indulged in huge corruption and other wrongdoings,” he pointed out.

Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said the decision of boycotting Assembly was a wrong step and MLAs, MPs and his party leaders were leaving him due to this kind of bad and immature decisions. “Surprisingly, the Opposition leader is trying to mislead people by stating that inaction on MLAs who crossed over to TDP from his party was the reason for his decision to boycotting them in the House,” he said.
