Visakhapatnam: A 19-year-old youth slashed a man with a sharp knife at Varahagiri Colony in Saligramapuram under Fourth Town police station limits here on Friday.
The police said the youth Koppa Sai Chaitanya Kumar alias Sai picked up a fight with Ch Virendra and slashed his back with a knife. Virendra was talking to his friends at the time of the attack.
He was taken to King George Hospital and being treated there. Sai was taken into custody and produced before the court, which remanded him in 14-day judicial custody.
