Mega crafts mela in Tirupati from November 2-5
The State-level Handlooms and Crafts Mela will be held in Tirupati from November 2 to 5. District Collector PS Pradyumna has released the poster of this mela here on Sunday.
Tirupati: The State-level Handlooms and Crafts Mela will be held in Tirupati from November 2 to 5. District Collector PS Pradyumna has released the poster of this mela here on Sunday. He said the mela should get recognition at National level and a total of 100 stalls will be set up in the mela. Out of the 100 stalls, 40 will be allotted to district artisans and 40 to those coming from across the country. There would be 20 food stalls also.
Designers of National fame Gourang Sha, Ramj, Jayanthi Balal, Istha Singh, Mathru and Sravan were attending the mela. The artisans must learn tips from them, the Collector advised. The mela is the biggest in South India during the last three years. VIBRI media who organises the SIIMA awards regularly is conducting this event on behalf of the State government. Cultural events will also be held during the four days.
