Vijayawada: Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) on Monday launched postcard campaign seeking co-operation from alumni of government schools for the development of schools.

SSA State Project Director (SPD) G Srinivas launched a new programme “Badi Runam Teerchukundam,’writing a letter to a retired IAS officer TS Apparao, who is the alumni of Government school in Kesavarao Pet, Srikakulam district. After retirement, Apparao, the former IAS officer, settled in Jubilee hills, Hyderabad.

In a press release on Monday, Project Director Srinivas said cooperation of people is very important for development of government schools. He convened a meeting with the Community Mobilisation Officers (CMOs) at his office with all districts and suggested them to write letters to alumni particularly the public representatives and higher officials who studied in the government schools and seek cooperation for development of government schools.
