The Vigilance Awareness Week-2017 started with a pledge at various public sector units on Monday with a theme “My Vision – Corruption-Free India.” The HPCL-VR, RINL and VPT started the week-long programmes.

Visakhapatnam: The Vigilance Awareness Week-2017 started with a pledge at various public sector units on Monday with a theme “My Vision – Corruption-Free India.” The HPCL-VR, RINL and VPT started the week-long programmes.

At HPCL-VR: On the first day at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation-Visakh Refinery, Chief General Manager (Materials) ASV Ramanan administered the pledge in Hindi and Executive Director of VRMP S Raja in English.

Messages of President of India, Vice-President of India, Central Vigilance Commissioner and Chairman and Managing Director of HPCL were read out by CG Manager (Technical), B Balagangadharam, CGM (Minor Projects) and GM (HR) Narisetty Rajarao respectively.

Chief Manager-Vigilance, Visakh Refinery V Suresh Babu narrated various programmes including quiz, elocution, crossword competitions and contractors meet being organised by Visakh Refinery and Marketing department.

At RINL: Chairman-cum-Managing Director, RINL P Madhusudan administered the integrity pledge. RINL Directors PC Mohapatra, P Raychaudhary, KC Das, VV Venugopala Rao and PK Rath were present.

Several out-reach activities are being organised in and around Steel Plant during the week to bring awareness among the stakeholders. RINL has also taken special steps to educate the students of various schools including engineering colleges by organising quiz and essay competitions.

At VPT: The VPT and DCIL have jointly observing VAW. At a programme Chairman, VPT MT Krishna Babu administered pledge by officers and employees.

He said CVC has manifested an integrity pledge to create awareness among employees and officers. He said this year CVC desired to take forward this movement in schools and colleges as the younger generation are future of the Nation.
