The first batch of farmers, who are on a Singapore tour from Amaravati, visited National Gallery of Singapore, on the first day after they landed here on Tuesday, informed Mr. Cherukuri Sai Vijendranath Chowdary, Telugu Desam Forum Singapore (TDFS), NRT in Singapore, with this correspondent.

Amaravati: The first batch of farmers, who are on a Singapore tour from Amaravati, visited National Gallery of Singapore, on the first day after they landed here on Tuesday, informed Mr. Cherukuri Sai Vijendranath Chowdary, Telugu Desam Forum Singapore (TDFS), NRT in Singapore, with this correspondent.

He said that the farmers were welcomed by the TDFS, which would guide the batch too in its tour in Singapore. The farmers first stayed at Hilton Garden Inn located at Little India in Singapore. From there, the team attended a meeting at Song of India restaurant, hosted by MTI-APO. Here the meeting was conducted to make understand the visit and purpose of the tour.

They explained to the farmers as to how the Singapore was developed and how the developmental projects were undertaken by the Singapore government. Then the farmers also visited local station.

TDFS President Jayaram Naidu Lekkala, working president Nag Namburi, secretary Satish Kumar Parepalli, treasurer Bandla Mohan Rao and others gave a rousing reception to the farmers at the Singapore Airport, on their landing, explained Vice-president Bhanuchand Chennupati.
Apart from the farmers, the CRDA officials Chennakesava Rao and Karlapudi Divya accompanied the farmers.
