The National Unity Day was observed by various public sector units and other establishments here on Tuesday. Administering pledge, rallies, workshops and various other programmes were conducted and paid rich tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 142nd birth anniversary here on Tuesday.

Administering pledge, rallies, workshops and various other programmes were conducted and paid rich tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 142nd birth anniversary here on Tuesday.
At HPCL-VR: The National Unity Day was observed at Visakh Refinery and paid floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. On the occasion, Chief General Manager-Materials of HPCL-VR ASV Ramanan administered pledge in Hindi and S Raja, Executive Director-VRMP, in English. Senior Officials, CGM–Minor Projects, Y Sriramulu, GM -HR Narisetty Raja Rao and Head-VRMP R Ramakrishnan and a large number of employees were present on the occasion.
At RINL: The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant observed the Day by organising ‘Run for Unity’ and paid tributes to the Iron Man of India in Ukkunagaram. KC Das, Director (Personnel) RINL, flagged off ‘Run for Unity’ in which a large number of school children and employees of RINL participated with enthusiasm.
Executive Director (corporate affairs) RP Srivatsav, GM (HR) RV Rao and officials from the sports department were present. Several competitions on the theme unity in diversity were conducted in the schools to mark the occasion.
At DCIL: The Day was observed by Dredging Corporation India Limited to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. On the occasion, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge was administered to all the employees by S Charles, Director (Finance), and MS Rao, Director (Operations and Technical).
