Kandukur: Special poojas and free meal to Ayyappas will begin on Thursday at the Sri Dharmasastra Ayyappa temple in Kandukur, announced the committee of the temple here on Wednesday.
The temple, which is famous in Kandukur and neighbouring villages, will start special pujas as part of Kartika Masam and starts offering free meal to those who are in Ayyappa deeksha.
Temple committee members Chenchuramaiah, Murali, Srinivasulu, Narasimham and Venkateswarlu said that special pujas will start with ‘Ayyappaswami Kalasa Uregimpu’ on Thursday morning and Visesha Gopuja, Rudrahomam, Chandihomam, Visesha Abhishekam to Goddess Kamakshi, Mahanyasa Purvaka Rudranamaka Chamakam, Sahasra Ghatabhishekam and Bilvarchana will continue up to January. The committee members urged the devotees to participate in the pujas.
