As many as 25 passengers suffered injuries and five of them are in critical position when a lorry collided the RTC bus head-on near Doobagunta village in Gospadu mandal on Wednesday. The injured were admitted to Government General Hospital in Kurnool for medical treatment.

The accident took place when RTC bus was heading towards Deebaguntla from Nandyal. Apart from the bus passengers, three more persons travelling in a car just behind the bus were also injured as their car rammed into the bus. The police registered a case and launched a hunt to nab lorry driver.
