Students forced to drink liquor in Vizianagaram, two suspended

Four students under the age of 14 were forced to consume alcohol and were made to dance to Telugu film songs at a BC welfare hostel in Vizianagaram district.The incident took place on October 29 but it came to light after the parents of the four students approached the BC Welfare Board.

It is learned that the cook and attender in the hostel are addicted to liquor and forced the students to consume liquor during their drinking session.
Following the complaint, both the hostel cook and attender have been suspended.
Deputy director of BC Welfare Board Khushboo Kothari informed that a departmental inquiry has already been conducted and that action will be taken against the warden too for negligence.
