Guntur District to be declared as Open Defecation Free

Guntur: Minister for Civil Supplies P Pulla Rao launched the `Swachata Seva Prahcara Ratham’ here, along with District Collector Kona Sasidhar and Zilla Parishad Chairperson Johnny Moon here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the district administration is working hard to declare the district as Open Defecation Free (ODF) by the end of this month and the Prachara Rathams will help to create awareness about the ODF even in the remote villages.

The Collector said everyone should feel social responsibility to individual toilets. Additional Joint Collector M Venkateswara Rao, Zilla Parishad CEO Nagarjunasagar and other officers participated in the programme.
