Mayor Koneru Sridhar inaugurated the sports and games competitions for the VMC school students at the PSRMC School at Krihna Lanka here on Friday.
Vijayawada: Mayor Koneru Sridhar inaugurated the sports and games competitions for the VMC school students at the PSRMC School at Krihna Lanka here on Friday. The VMC is conducting games and sports to distribute prizes on the Children’s Day to be celebrated on November 14. The civic body conducted competitions at MK Baig School, Gandhiji High School and PSRMC School in three circles of the city.
Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor said the VMC is encouraging sports and games in the corporation schools and developing infrastructure. He said the VMC is conducting competitions in cultural programmes as well as sports and games. Deputy Mayor Gogula Venkataramana, corporators Jasti Sambasiva Rao, GV Narasimha Rao, Pallem Ravi Kumar, deputy education officer K Durga Prasad, teachers and others were present.
