Inaugurating the Rural Health Centre, which was constructed at a cost of Rs 4.4 crore at Maddipadu, the Health Minister said that the RHC was established and it is affiliated to the RIMS in Ongole town as per the MCI guidelines.
He said that NTR baby kits were being distributed to post-natal women at the primary health centres.. He said that quarters were provided to 36 doctors working in the RHC and the Centre will be helpful for the RIMS students to know the rural conditions.
The Minister inaugurated the dialysis centre at Markapuram area hospital and said that about 30 to 40 patients can be offered dialysis daily. “Ours was the only state government in the country that was offering Rs 2,500 pension for the kidney patients,” he added. pHe ordered the doctors to arrange one TV set for two beds to provide entertainment to the patients in the hospital.
He offered all help to develop the western area of the district and asked the public to utilise the PHCs in the area. He said that the impure ground water was the cause for kidney ailments in the area and expected that the completion of Veligonda project will end the problem. He inaugurated the 50-bed block built at a cost of Rs 4.25 crore budget at Community Health Centre in Kanigiri.
