They were present at the Irrigation Advisory Board (IAB) meeting here on Friday. On the occasion, they directed the officials to encourage farmers towards cultivation of irrigated dry (ID) crops like maize, green gram and black grams during the rabi season.
Collector K Dhanunjaya Reddy suggested to the Water Users Association (WUA) presidents to create awareness among farmers about ID crops cultivation to save water and revive minerals and essence of the soil.
“WUA presidents of Peddabuddidi, Rajulagummada, Nadimikella- R Shasibhushan Rao A Sudarshan Rao, Y Appala Naidu- flayed the irrigation officials for their negligence in providing information to them over water distribution.
They also complained that the officials are not informing regarding meetings. In turn, the Ministers and the Collector warned the officials concerned and told them to send information regularly to WUA presidents.
