Srisailam Matham seer Sri Chennasiddarama Panditaradhya Sivacharya Mahaswami on Friday had darshan of the deities. He was received at the temple Rajagopuram with due traditional honours like Vedamantram and Purnakumbham.

He performed Rudrabishekam before having darshan. The Devasthanam honoured the Swamiji by conducting Veda Goshti, Executive Officer Bharat Gupta said. Srisailam MLA Budda Rajasekhar Reddy also worshipped the presiding deities on Friday.
Meanwhile, the three-day flower show being organised by the Devasthanam began on Friday in Rudrakshvanam opposite Harihararaya Gopuram. The flowers have been brought from Bengaluru. They include various varieties of Rose, Carnations, Gladiyolus, Orchid, Anthurium, Jabra Chemanti among others.
Flower decorations resembling Siva Lingam and Nandi and other forms attracted wide public attention. Along with the variety of flowers, flexi boards listing the Puranic backgrounds of holy trees like Ravi, Medi, Bilwam, Kadambam, Nagalingam, Usiri are being put up for the awareness of the visitors. Also, the devasthanam is arranging flexis of a variety of medicinal plants providing details of their value and specialities.
Gupta said the flexis, listing their specialities as mentioned in ancient scriptures like Vedas and Puranas, are being arranged for the benefit of the visiting devotees, with stress on the importance of preserving the plants. He stated that the Srisailam forests contain many varieties of these valuable plants.
