Stop power, if bills not paid: APEPDCL CMD
Speaking on the occasion, the CMD issued instructions to the officials to stop power supply to grama panchayats, municipalities and government offices if bills are not cleared regularly.
Srikakulam: Stop power supply if any local body and government office are not paying bills properly, directed AP Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) HR Dora. He reviewed power supply position and revenue collection status with the APEPDCL officials at circle office here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the CMD issued instructions to the officials to stop power supply to grama panchayats, municipalities and government offices if bills are not cleared regularly.
The government is releasing funds for local bodies and government offices for payment of bills but at ground-level payment is being neglected by heads concerned, he pointed out.
The CMD asked the officials not to cause delay in resolving issues related to sanction of new power connections and consumer grievances. Quality power must be supplied to agriculture in the stipulated timings and other sectors.
