The tourism departments of seven states have put up their stalls in addition to 10 major travel agencies and a couple of theme parks also set up their stalls at a three-day Holiday Expo in the city. The expo will be concluded on November 6.

Visakhapatnam: The tourism departments of seven states have put up their stalls in addition to 10 major travel agencies and a couple of theme parks also set up their stalls at a three-day Holiday Expo in the city. The expo will be concluded on November 6. The tourism departments and agencies are sharing the information about various attractions at their states and tour packages in the expo.

State tourism departments and corporations of Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Karnataka, and Jharkhand have put up their stalls. Sri Lanka Holiday, SOTC, Cox and Kings, Spiceland Holidays, Welfare Holiday World, a private travel agency from Kerala, Hotel Reservation Networks, Hotels and Resorts, Wildlife Resorts, Health Spas and Ayurvedic Centre’s, Time - Share Resorts, Eco – Clubs and Adventure Sports and others were among the participants.

This is the 10 consecutive years, the show is being held in the city and this year more states and agencies are participating, said Director of Holiday Expo Dilip Biswas. There was information about cruise lines, foreign tour packages, health centres, special interest travel and all other aspects. The expo is being devised as an experiential showcase, giving visitors a real taste of what exhibitors are offering, he added.
