Kurnool: The ACB officials caught Purudu VRO red handed while accepting the bribe amount of Rs 5,000 from a farmer in Tahasildar office here on Saturday.
According to ACB DSP Jayarama Raju, farmer Purushottam Goud of Pudur village in Kurnool mandal had approached VRO N Venkateswarulu seeking pattadar passbooks for his 2 acres of agriculture land. But, the VRO demanded the farmer to pay Rs 5,000 as bribe for issuing pattadar passbooks. He expressed his inability to pay bribe and approached the ACB. The DSP stated that they seized cash from VRO and filed a case against him.
