Man slits girl friend’s throat; attempts suicide
Suspecting relationship with another, a lover slits his girl-friend throat with a blade. Later, he attempted suicide by cutting his throat with the blade here at VUDA Park on Monday.
Visakhapatnam: Suspecting relationship with another, a lover slits his girl-friend throat with a blade. Later, he attempted suicide by cutting his throat with the blade here at VUDA Park on Monday.
The victims are identified as K Nagalakshmana Rao and K Ramya. Both were shifted to King George Hospital and are undergoing treatment. They are in stable condition.
According to police, Rao and Ramya are in love for the past three and half years and have been frequently meeting at VUDA Park. As usual, they met at VUDA Park and had heated arguments. Rao alleged that Ramya has been moving close with another boy. On the issue, they argued for some time.
Expressing his anger, Rao suddenly slit her throat with a blade and also attempted suicide with the same blade slashing his throat. The other visitors, who were watching them, called 108 Service and both were shifted to KGH. The police are inquiring the girl for more details, while Rao was unable to speak. Further investigation is on, CI Venkata Rao said.
