Amaravati: A day after the launch of Praja Sankalpa Yatra by Leader of Opposition and YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Ministers launched a scathing attack on him.

Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu criticised Jagan stating that he was the first person in the history of the nation to take part in a Padayatra despite being the prime accused in 12 cases pertaining to financial crimes.

Jagan was also named in the recent list of 714 persons (financial fraudsters) released by International Consortium of Investigative Journalists’ Paradise papers, he added. Ramakrishnudu alleged that Jagan evaded tax and amassed illegal wealth.

Before blaming the TDP government, Jagan must explain why the government debts increased during his father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s rule, Ramakrishnudu demanded.

Energy Minister and TDP State president K Kala Venkata Rao demanded that Jagan should respond to the corruption allegations against him before going on Padayatra.

Jagan went to Padayatra by ignoring people’s mandate, observed Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister K E Krishna Murthy. He stated that instead of bringing people’s problems to the notice of the State Assembly, Jagan preferred to go on Padayatra to secure political mileage.

He observed that if Jagan attended the Assembly and participated in debates, then it would benefit common man. He said people would not believe in Jagan’s assurances that he would eliminate corruption. Krishna Murthy predicted that Jagan cannot become Chief Minister in the near future.
