The airport police arrested a Nigerian national Igbokwe Chukwuebuka Gibson and seized 30-kgs of ganja near NAD Junction on Tuesday. The accused is making arrangements to shift the ganja by road.
Visakhapatnam: The airport police arrested a Nigerian national Igbokwe Chukwuebuka Gibson and seized 30-kgs of ganja near NAD Junction on Tuesday. The accused is making arrangements to shift the ganja by road.
According to inspector Prabhakar, Gibson came to the city from Tiruppur of Tamil Nadu and procured the ganja from a person at Maddilapalem in the city. Based on reliable information, police nabbed the a cused when he is ready to get into a bus to move to Tirupati .
The police are investigating to establish the Gibson’s contacts in the agency areas and also in the city. The accused arrived in India four years ago with a valid visa. He is the third Nigerian national arrested by the city police on the charges of ganja smuggling.
