Vijayawada: The CPI demanded the Central government to release white paper on the enquiry along with the names of Panama leaks and Paradise papers. Addressing a press conference here, the CPI General Secretary, S Sudhakar Reddy, said that the release of the list of black money holders by Paradise Papers including 714 Indian nationals had exposed the bankruptcy of Indian government-sponsored investigations into black money. ``Once again, the government reconstituted a multi-agency group led by CBDT chairman.

It is 18 months back that Panama papers leaked the names of a large number of Indians and no progress is made in the enquiry till today,” he said. The CPI leader further said, ``Moreover the names of Indian black money holders are kept as top secret in sealed cover by the Union government; while even the raids and enquiries on some opponent personalities and officers are exposed with video on the same day of start of investigation.

This gives doubt that Narendra Modi government is hell bent upon defending some VVIP black money holders from getting exposed. Where is the transparency in the Modi government as it is boasting of ?. The BJP-led NDA government miserably failed to bring back the black money from foreign soils.
