Kakinada: Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu directed the district officials to achieve the targets of development works set in primary sector like agriculture, animal husbandry and fisheries. He held a review meeting on the development works with all the district-level officials concerned at his camp office at Timmapuram village here on Wednesday.

Yanamala asked the officials to take measures to increase the agriculture yield in the district. He directed the officials to cancel the licences of shrimp farms whose products were rejected by foreign countries. The minister told the officials to control the use of antibiotics in shrimp farming and regulate the aquaculture by categorising the saline and non-saline areas into zones.

Minister ordered the SE, Roads&Buildings, to complete the rehabilitation works sanctioned in the district at the time of Hudhud cyclone. Yanamala said that all the schools in the district would be facilitated with necessary infrastructure at a cost of Rs 300 crore SSA funds. The government is going to provide two virtual classrooms for every constituency, he said.

The finance minister said that the schools in Tuni constituency would be provided with digital classrooms and toilets with Rs 5 lakh donated by Yanamala fFoundation. He informed that 1,182 tractors would be distributed to farmers in the district, out of which 62 would be distributed in Tuni constituency.
