Rajamahendravaram: The endowments department is shortly going to launch a website containing all the information the department, including temples under its management, properties, status of court cases, income and expenditure of temples, sevas. People can access the details of any temple in the state with a click of the mouse and even book sevas through their mobile phones.
Speaking to The Hans India here on Wednesday, endowments minister P Manikyala Rao said the department had also decided to appoint chartered accounts as 'finance and administrative' officers to 6A and 6B temples to check daily money transactions of the respective temples, which would help strengthening the economic base of the temples and also reduce financial irregularities.
He said biometric system would be introduced to all the employees, including priests in the department to ensure regular attendance. The minister said geo tagging of temple lands and other properties would begin in Rayalaseema soon to track the information of lands and properties and their status.
Executive officer post to Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy temple in Annavaram would be filled shortly along with other vacant posts and promotions were given recently in the department, he said.
Plans are afoot to introduce Giri Pradikshana to Lord Lakshmi Nrusimha Swamy temple at Korukonda shortly, he added. As many as 250 Dharma Pracharak posts were filled to spread Hindu dharma and some posts are also be filled shortly in the state, Manikyala Rao said.
