Mass toilets construction in Prakasam dist today
The Prakasam district administration launched a special drive to start construction of 58,000 individual toilets on Saturday. Drawing inspiration of Vizianagaram, which constructed 23,000 individual toilets in a single day, the Collector ordered the departments concerned to make arrangements for the success of the drive.

Collector V Vinay Chand conducted a video-conference with the special officers of Assembly constituencies, mandals and MPDOs on Friday and discussed about the special drive to construct the individual toilets. The Collector said that the Chief Minister is planning to announce the district as an open defecation free district by month end. Hence, the drive was launched, he said.
RWS superintending engineer Sanjeev Reddy, DPO NSSV Prasad, DRDA PD Murali, Housing PD Srinivasa Rao, STEP CEO Ravi, ZP Deputy CEO Sai Kumari, MEPMA PD Annapurnamma, BC Corporation ED Nageswara Rao, SSA PD Venkateswara RAo and other officials participated in the meeting.
