Supply non-stop power to consumers

He directed the officials to supply 24 hours of reliable and uninterrupted power to its consumers in urban and rural areas and to supply power for seven hours under three phases without any interruption to the agricultural sector. He told them to take steps and ensure that every service was metered so that payments on the bills could be collected.
The CMD instructed the officials to disconnect power to those panchayats which failed to pay their bills. He also directed to replace the damaged transformers within 24 hours. Proposals were already sent for UG cable work at religious places like Simhachalam and at Tourist places like Bhimili.
The priority works of the State government priority including NTR Jalasiri, IPDS, DDG, DDUGVY and SAGY schemes should be given power connections without any delay, the CMD said. As many as 5,000 new Energy Efficiency Agricultural pump sets were being ready for replacement of the existing pump sets for distribution to agricultural consumers in the district free of cost, he added.
Talking about the HT consumers, the CMD assured them action would be taken to rectify their difficulties in power supply and in billing. Directors of APEPDCL B Seshu kumar, TVS Chandrasekhar, SE (Operations) Visakhapatnam circle TV Surya Prakash and several engineers were present.
