The death toll of the Krishna River boat tragedy has risen to 19. Rescue operations have been going on and three bodies have been found. Two more bodies are yet to be recovered.

Scuba divers and expert swimmers are searching for the remaining bodies by swimming into deep waters.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu inspected the accident spot and enquired regarding the rescue operations that are taking up at Ferry Ghat.

Tourism Minister Akhila Priya who accompanied the Chief Minister said that the rescue operations have been going on and stern action will be taken against those who are responsible for the tragedy once the rescue operations are completed.

Calling it an unfortunate incident, she said that the police arrested a crew member and are tracing out to nab the management.

Akhila Priya further pointed out that the boating doesn't have any permissions from officials concerned adding that even the Tourism Department officials warned against boat operations.
