Call to impart values to students
City Mayor M Swaroopa emphasised on values and importance of education while taking part in Children’s Day celebrations held at Viswa Bharathi English Medium School in Kovur Nagar on Tuesday.
Anantapur: City Mayor M Swaroopa emphasised on values and importance of education while taking part in Children’s Day celebrations held at Viswa Bharathi English Medium School in Kovur Nagar on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, she lauded the school management for providing quality education to students. She handed over Rs 20,000 to each student who achieved 10 GPA in SSC examination.
School Headmaster Ramana Reddy said, out of 75 students 10 achieved 10 GPA in SSC examinations. Each of the students, who achieve 10 GPA is being awarded with Rs 20,000 as incentive every year.
Director P Sugunakar said every student is ought to become pillar of the society. Correspondent J Anasuya too spoke on the occasion. Cultural activities were performed by students. The function ended with national anthem.
